To support our developing competitive athletes to achieve their personal goals, CCNB strives to follow the recommended guidelines of Cross Country Canada. A program of coaching support, training camps and "out of province" competitions (to supplement those available in the Province) are available to our club's competitive oriented skier.
To provide support and training of club volunteers in running, organizing and officiating events such as Loppets, Club level and Provincial level events.
To train and develop qualified coaches at the club and provincial level to promote the development of cross country skiing in the introductory (Jackrabbits) to the elite (Provincial Team) level skiers.
All of these programs are part of Cross-Country Canada's programs. Don't forget that Beckie Scott, Canada's first Olympic gold medallist in the sport of cross-country skiing at the Salt Lake City 2002 Olympic winter games, is a graduate of the Vermilion, Alberta Jackrabbit program.
